| This kit was designed to be used with your favorite regenerative receiver, crystal set, home brew radio, or any application where speaker volume is more appealing than headphones. Other applications might include your tape recorder, Walkman, Sony, record players, guitar practice amplifier or what have you. Includes the oak chassis a new front panel, printed circuit board, phono jack input, phone jack for external speaker. Built-in quality oval speaker with front facing grille, on-off switch, and 9 volt battery connector. (Can be used with an external 9 or 12 volt supply). TDA 7052 Integrated Circuit. | This kit is based on an article in May 2006 CQ Magazine entitled "Look Ma - No High Voltage" It is a milliwatt range vacuum oscillator kit assembled breadboard style using a new old stock vacuum tube that uses 12 volts dc on both the filaments and the plate. Great safe way to learn about vacuum tube operation. The new old stock 12K5 tube is included in the kit. It has been tested and is warranted. Also included is a 16 page manual written by the author, a pre-wound 40 meter coil, a spare plastic coil form and a new 7 mHz crystal which can be soldered across the crystal socket provided in the kit. The power output will be in the low milliwatt range and not practical for much distance. The author wrote an article on an experimental 12K5 amplifier that raised the power output. The article is included in the kit. |
