The photographs on the front page of the Web site www.pastimeprojects.com show that the production build kit has been completed. It worked when first plugged in. The true test of a new regenerative receiver is a squeal from the speaker or headphones when first 'fired up'. We did discover that we connected the regenerative control backwards. That was easily fixed. We were disappointed with reception until we came back to the receiver about dusk. That is when these frequencies (around the 80/75 meter amateur band) really come alive! The later it got the stronger the signals became. We copied cw, digital, and single sideband. We had to adjust the antenna coupling for overload, and we had to turn down the volume control. Now we will edit the manual notes from the production build, and start boxing the kits. The web newsletter is about to release also. Comments welcome!~
