The revised amplifier is now available on eBay. This is the 12u7 12k5 tube kit that uses 12 volts dc from your power supply for all power to the vacuum tubes; both filaments and plate voltages! Pretty cool! This kit probably outdoes the kits you built or heard about in the 1960's. Every step is illustrated. Here is a page from the manual. Reports are coming back that the amplifier is truly a fun project with mellow sound. One ham reports he is using it as a ipod dock. If you dont want to build a transmitter, then try this audio amplifier. Or get those kids involved.
