The prototype state of the art low pass filters we discussed on March 9 are now out for testing. The attached sketch is part of the instruction book which will accompany each filter kit. These are based on Ed Wetherhold's work as seen in the February 1999 QST article Second Harmonic Optimized Low Pass Filters. Ed has worked with me to come up with Pastime Projects prototypes. Our design is for use with any transmitter in the 160 through 10 meter amateur radio bands which runs under 20 watts output in any mode. The other feature we can offer is a comprehensive manual for those with little experience with winding toroidal cores and point to point wiring. Since the components can specified for under 20 watts, component cost can be held down. Kit availabilty and prices will be annouced shortly. 73 es BCNU! Glenn pastimeprojects@yahoo.com
